Tub Chassis
Based on traditional mining tubs used throughout the world for mining, civil engineering and heavy industry. Typically used to extract: coal, slate, copper and other minerals; build tunnels, infrastructure and to move mountains. In addition they were used on the surface to transport, product and waste on local narrow gauge lines.

These tubs are built on a common chassis typical of the late Victorian / Edwardian eras. Unlike many small wagons kits that use plain MDF or plywood bearing Plateway Models use modern miniature real sealed steel ball bearings, just like in your car for ease of running and a long life.
The tubs come in all shapes and sizes form simple iron and wooden skips to, water tanks, flat wagons, carriages / man-riders and brake vans. More tubs are planned.
Dimensions: 86 mm long over dumb buffers, 42 mm wide bare chassis, 48 mm wide flat top, 58 mm wide brake / carriage / man-rider, 23 mm from rail level to the chassis top, 63 mm from rail top to tub top, 133 mm from rail to top of brake / carriage / man-rider. All with 20 mm, 6 curl spoke wheels.
